Tim is a member of the Navajo Nation and was raised on the Navajo Nation for most of his life. He is also married to a Colville tribal member. Tim is also Chairman of the Board of Directors for Navajo Transitional Energy Company, which owns the Navajo Mine and supplies coal to Four Corners Power Plant.
